Information for participants

Instructions for Presenters

The total time for oral presentation is 15 minutes, including Q&A. The recommended time allocation for presentation is 10 - 12 minutes followed by Q&A.
The LCP will be equipped with a connection cable with HDMI connector. Note that speakers who wish to use the LCP must prepare their own computer, presentation software, and additional connectors if needed. Technical support will be available in each session room.
Before the session in which you will present, please notify the chair of your arrival.



Reception details

Thanks to the generous contributions of thermal and fluid researchers in South Korea and Japan, more than 400 presentations are scheduled for this conference. As a result, we have to organize the program from the morning of 22nd October, and we have decided to set 21st October as "Day 0" and hold a welcome reception in Naha city. This is not mandatory, but we would appreciate it if those who have time could attend. Conference goods will be handed out at this welcome reception.

Lunch

  1. Your lunch order (regular or vegetarian) is indicated on your name badge.Please show your badge at the reception desk when you pick up your lunch.If you are collecting lunches for others, please bring their badges as well.
  2. You can eat lunch anywhere, but please make sure to return the empty lunch box to the pickup place.
  3. DO NOT throw away the empty lunch box in the trash bins.

Prepaid Cards (OKICA)

Distributing Okinawa-exclusive prepaid cards (OKICA) to conference participants

The venue for J-K TFEC11 is the Okinawa Convention Center, which is located outside Naha City. The most economical way to reach the venue is by local bus, but prepaid cards from other regions (such as SUICA) cannot be used. Therefore, at J-K TFEC11, we plan to distribute Okinawa-exclusive prepaid cards (OKICA) to all participants. Each card is worth 1,500 JPY. Award

For JSME-TED participants

The J-K TFEC11 plans to present the following awards to members of the JSME Thermal Engineering Division (TED). No application is required. All eligible presenters will be reviewed.

Certificate of Merit for Thermal Engineering Best Paper
Excellent studies and technical presentations that are thought to be the merit for thermal engineering field are honored from the contribution papers presented at the international conference organized by Thermal Engineering Department of JSME. Candidates shall be decided by consultation of the members of the steering committee of the international conference. (Excerpt from Awards Provision of JSME Thermal Engineering Division)

Outstanding Presentation Award for Young Fellow
The purpose of this award is to give confidence and pride to young researchers by bestowing Outstanding Presentation Award for Young Fellow on the presenters (in principle, JSME members under 26 years old as of April 1, 2026), and for JSME to support the development of young professionals, thereby contributing to human resource development for the science and technology creation-guided nation. Certificate of Merit for Thermal Engineering Excellent Presentation from Young Researcher
The award is presented to a member who is a co-author of a presentation paper or abstract and has given a presentation at the JSME annual meeting or at a meeting hosted by the Thermal Engineering Division, and who is under 30 years old as of April 1, 2026, in principle. For JSME-FED participants
The J-K TEFC11 plans to present
 ・Outstanding Presentation Award for Young Fellow
 ・Merit for Fluids Engineering Excellent Presentation from Young Researcher
to members of the JSME Fluids Engineering Division (FED).
The candidates for those awards have already been selected by the first screening process based on submitted extended abstract.
The awardee will be determined from the candidates by the second screening process based on presentation during the conference.
